May Festival at S’Horta

Located on the south eastern side of the island (about 15 mins drive from Cala D’or) S’ Horta (pronounced ‘SORTA’) has its village festival the last week in May. One of the highlights is the fair, which happens on the Sunday of the festival around 23rd of May.

Felanitx Market - South Majorca

Felanitx is a fairly large town situated a few miles inland from Majorca’s east coast. It takes about 20 minutes or so to get there from resorts such as Cala d’Or and Porto Colom by car. In addition, there are both arranged trips and local bus services that will get you there. Felanitx market makes a great day out.

Medieval Fair in Capdepera

In 2000, the first medieval market was organised for the 700 year commemoration of the foundation of the Capdepera Castle by King Jaume II in 1300 AD. The market repeats every year on the third weekend of May.

International Nautical Fair in Palma de Majorca

At the beginning of the summer season the International Nautical Fair comes to Majorca’s Palma Bay. The fair has both floating and dry dock based exhibition areas during 9 days.

The floating area exhibits over 300 sailing boats and yachts from 8 to 45 meters in length.

Pottery Fair in Marratxi

Every year culture, tradition and handcraft join together at the Pottery Fair of Marratxi. This fair started in 1983 and has become an important fair to show all the different ways to treat and work clay. As well as the fair and exhibit tables, the visitors are able to enjoy numerous events such as watching the Giants dance, traditional music and dances, as well as activities to entertain the younger ones.
